Telemarketing dialer

From Get-out-the-vote drives to customer surveys and cold-calling sales, outbound telemarketing campaigns represent an essential part of companies' marketing and sales strategies. Automated telemarketing dialers - such as the predictive dialer, auto dialer, and message broadcaster - dramatically increase telemarketing agents' efficiency by enabling them to spend more time talking to prospective customers and less time dialing. The increase in telemarketing has prompted the FTC to regulate against unwanted telemarketing calls in the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR). If you're considering adding a telemarketing dialer or other telemarketing applications, you'll need to pay close attention to how your program supports the mandatory legislation.

The FTC (Federal Trade Commission) amended the Telemarketing Sales Rule in 2003; its goal is to give law enforcement the tools to combat telemarketing fraud and give consumers added privacy protection. One of the main additions to the TSR is the national Do Not Call Registry. This prohibits telemarketers from calling individuals who have put their names on the registry list.
