Call software

Telecommunications software has certainly raised the bar for the basic phone call. Software applications aim to make the mobile worker more efficient and productive and to streamline operations in the call center. In this article, we'll go beyond buzzwords and look at two very different call software applications.

Corporate Call software from Comdial (Comdial.com) combines your phone system with desktop PCs so your staff can better manage calls from their offices. It integrates Microsoft Outlook's contact management with the business phone system, so making calls is as easy as point-and-click. Just click on an entry in Outlook, and the system dials for you. Users can also set up conference calls with Corporate Call by selecting participants' names in Outlook. The software also serves basic unified messaging functions; you can configure it to send all your emails to your cell phone or pager. It can even page you about upcoming appointments in your Outlook calendar.

Corporate Call software helps manage incoming calls. It can inform callers when you're in a scheduled meeting (set up on the calendar). Its pop-up feature provides valuable information about incoming callers so you'll always be informed, knowledgeable, and ready from the start. The software automatically delivers any information about the caller stored in your Microsoft Exchange database and local .myd files.
