Call Manager software is the call processing component of Cisco's (Cisco.com) Voice over IP (VoIP) infrastructure. It's a software-based call processing application designed for high availability environments. This software extends the advanced enterprise telephony features to packet telephony devices like IP phones, VoIP gateways, and multi-media applications. Essentially, it provides PBX-like features to a VoIP system, like an attendant console, manual attendant console, conferencing, real-time monitoring, unified messaging, and interactive multimedia response systems. The Call Manager uses Cisco's proprietary SCCP (also called Skinny) protocol and can be installed on a Cisco 7800 series media convergence server (MCS) or a third-party server. Multiple CallManager servers can be clustered and managed as a single entity, providing scalability from 1 to 30,000 IP phones per cluster, along with load balancing and redundancy. By interlinking multiple clusters, capacity can be increased to 1 million users in a 100+ site system. Web Design - Small business custom website from EverestWebDesign.com.
