ACD telephone

At its most basic level, an automatic call distributor (ACD) processes multiple simultaneous calls and distributes them among two or more call agents based on predetermined routing instructions. Traditional ACD systems have incorporated a stand-alone ACD system or an add-on automatic call distribution module to a switch or PBX, along with a specialized ACD telephone.
